Here is a little about the book:

What happens when love takes you to unexpected places?

Heather Douglas appears to have it all. But living on a farm in the Scottish Highlands with her partner, Rory Fraser, all while bringing up their adorable toddler, Harry, isn’t easy. As a former librarian, Heather is worried that she’ll never fully fit into life on Fraser Farm. And after the death of her beloved mum five years ago, Heather feels lost, as well as guilty for holding back accepting Rory’s marriage proposal because she can’t imagine her wedding without her mother.

So when ex-boyfriend, Stewart, appears in the village of Glendale, it’s a shock to the system. The man who broke her heart years ago now has big plans for the neighbouring farm and wants Heather to be part of the development. Knowing that she’s living a very different life to the one they had planned at university leaves Heather wondering if she has made the right choices since she and Stewart broke up. Especially when things start to go very wrong on the farm …

This Christmas, Heather will need to face her fears and let go of the past or risk losing everything. She will need love, faith, and a whole lot of hope!

Return to the beautiful Highlands village of Glendale with the latest book in the bestselling Glendale series – the perfect cosy, uplifting, romantic read for fans of Heidi Swain, Milly Johnson and Holly Martin.

Ever do something really stupid?  Yeah, welcome to my life. I seem to do it quite often lately, and my most recent blunder was forgetting to put my ‘day to post my review’ for this wonderful book on my calendar. I was supposed to have it up on the 11th, but because I am such a twit, you are getting today. Better late than never, right? My apologies to @vickywalters, @herabooks, and @rachelsrandomresources for my never ending absentmindedness.

Heather lives on Fraser Farm with her toddler Harry and partner Rory. She is new to the rural farm life and after a whirlwind romance and pregnancy she willingly moved to the farm to be with Rory and start a new life. Although Rory wants to marry Heather, she is reluctant to take that step because she is still grieving over the loss of her mother and can’t imagine having a wedding without her.
Suddenly her ex-boyfreind and previous heartbreak Stewart shows up in town, developing a property adjoining Heather and Rory’s farm and wanting to rekindle his relationship with Heather and win her back. Heather is questioning herself and her life, and whether Stewart showing back up in her life was fate or deliberate.

Book 3 in the Glendale Hall series, Hopeful Hearts can easily be read as a stand alone novel. Told with some occasional flashbacks from the past, the book flows well and is an effortless and easy read. Vicky Walters writes a wonderful feel-good holiday romance that tackles so much more than just love. With a ton of feeling and grace, Walters blends the struggles of anxiety and grief into this heart-warming tale and emanates the power of internal strength that each one of us hold and uncover when needed. The characters are perfect, and the holiday setting just makes the book so much more entrancing. Of course I loved this one and highly recommend this and the previous installments in the Glendale Hall series. You will fall in love with Vicky’s writing and all the inhabitants of Glendale Hall.

Thank you so much to Victoria Walters, Rachel Gilbey from Rachels Random Resources, and Hera Books, for my gifted copy of this book for my honest and unbiased opinion.
