Wait, did I just read a romcom written by a male author that was actually GOOD?  Oh my goodness, alert the authorities, the apocalypse is near.  You’re shocked right?  Yeah, I was too.  But then who else to see the comical side of the female psyche than the men who are trying to decipher it, right?

So Ruth Harper is in her 40’s successful, and alone.  After one of the worst days ever she decides she doesn’t want to spend the rest of her life alone anymore and launches a business plan to find her “perfect” man. (That alone right there should make you laugh).   There’s not much more to tell you after that.  Honestly, it’s any one of us women trying to date in our 40’s and making the total fool out of ourselves that we usually do.  Expect to laugh.  Expect to relate ( I mean TOTALLY relate). And most of all expect to absolutely love this book.   Not only is Rich Amooi’s writing effortless and entertaining, but his characters are so stinking quirky and realistic, you have to wonder what is going on in that head of his to come up with some of this stuff.  I mean, what man writes women this well???   (Something fishy going on here Rich, you’ve got way too much good insight).  I cannot wait to read what’s next.   This man is now on my automatic purchase list for sure.  5 stars, hands down, easiest rating ever given.
