Review

Coming Home is the second book in the Chandler Inn Series. It can be read as a stand alone novel, but reading the first book will give you a more “in depth” experience into the background behind the story.

Camilla “Cami” Chandler’s grandmother passes away and leaves her the Chandler Inn, her Winery and all the land in Willamette Valley in Oregon. Cami leaves France and her ex-boyfriend Bernard to take over responsibilities at the inn but is suddenly faced with backstabbing employees and difficult workers. Fortunately she has her grandfather Rafe who is extremely supportive. As Cami continues to take over the business she starts to discover many challenges, she finds where money was being used improperly in in a side business, and her ex-boyfriend arrives wanting to get back together. Does Cami even have time for love?

This is a wonderful heartwarming story with well developed characters that you find extremely believable and quite realistic. The story is a very light and easy read, and because of this it moves quite fast and can be finished in one sitting. Cami is a strong and resilient female and is easily likable and someone you definitely want to see succeed. The story has many twists and turns and keeps you completely engrossed and at the same time totally lays out the platform for the next book in the series.

This is my first book by Judith Keim and I certainly do recommend it. I will certainly be going back to catch up with book one, and now I can’t wait for book three. She is an incredible writer and her ability to make you connect with the characters is amazing. This is a 4 star read for me. Judith Keim enjoyed her childhood and young-adult years in Elmira, New York, and now makes her home in Boise, Idaho, with her husband and their two dachshunds, Winston and Wally, and other members of her family.
